FAQ
Where does the data come from?
Three official sources: commercial register notices in the electronic Official Gazette, the Financial Market Authority's public register of licence holders, and openly licensed LEI data from GLEIF. Every profile names the sources it used.
Is this the complete commercial register?
No, and we do not claim it is. The register covers more legal entities than are recorded here. Foundations and trusts also carry no general right of inspection, so a large part of the register is not open to the public at all. The figures on the home page are counted, not estimated.
Do you show revenue and profit?
No. Companies limited by shares, GmbHs, KAGs and SEs must file annual accounts with the Office of Justice, but those accounts are not published — the Gazette announces only that a filing happened. So we show which balance-sheet date was filed for, and no figures from it.
What personal data do you show?
The name, function and signing authority of registered officers — precisely what the commercial register exists to disclose. Citizenship and place of residence do appear in the notices, but are neither carried through nor stored.
What is the FL number?
The identifier in the Liechtenstein commercial register, in the form FL-0001.xxx.xxx-x. You can search by it, with or without the check digit.
Does VIES apply?
No. Liechtenstein is EEA, not EU, and forms a customs and VAT territory with Switzerland. The EU VIES system does not cover Liechtenstein MWST numbers.
Who keeps the register?
The Office of Justice of the Principality of Liechtenstein. Official information and certified extracts come from there; Overit is no substitute for it and is not affiliated with the authorities.
