Trust enterprise (Trust reg.) in Liechtenstein

The trust enterprise sits between a trust and a company: it rests on a trust deed like a Treuhänderschaft, but as a rule has legal personality of its own and can therefore hold rights and owe obligations directly.

It is governed not by the PGR but by its own act of 1928. The suffix “reg.” in a name stands for “registriert” and marks exactly this registered, legal-personality variant — which is why so many Liechtenstein names end in “Trust reg.”

It is administered by its trustees.
